When the music stops, the lady holding the parcel tears one layer and must wear whatever she finds until the game ends, and whoever opens the last layer wins the prize inside. How to play Thand Ka Parcel, step by step
- Wrap the prize in one layer of newspaper, then keep adding layers until there are about 10. Tuck one winter item inside every layer as you wrap.
- Everyone sits in a circle. Play music and pass the parcel from hand to hand.
- Stop the music suddenly. The lady holding the parcel has 10 seconds to tear open one layer.
- Whatever falls out, she must wear right away and keep on until the game ends, even if it is a sock on her hand.
- At any moment the host can shout "Heater on!" and every lady must take off one worn item and put it on the lady to her right within 10 seconds.
Rules: how do you win?
- If you take off a worn item on your own, you sit out one round.
- If you cannot open a layer in 10 seconds, the parcel moves on and you lose your turn.
- If you are slow on "Heater on!", you must wear one extra item.
- The lady who opens the last layer wins the prize and is crowned Sardi Queen.
