Newspaper Dance: Kitty Party Game Rules, How to Play and Fun Twists
Newspaper Dance is a pair game where two ladies dance on a sheet of newspaper, and every time the music stops the paper is folded in half. Any pair whose foot touches the floor outside the paper is out. The last pair standing on the smallest piece of paper wins. It needs only old newspapers and music, takes about 15 minutes, and works for 6 to 20 players.

- One old newspaper sheet per pair
- Music on a phone or speaker
- One person to play and stop the music
How to play Newspaper Dance, step by step
- Make pairs and give each pair one full newspaper sheet spread on the floor.
- Play a song. Both partners dance, but their feet must stay on the newspaper.
- Stop the music suddenly. Every pair folds their newspaper in half and stands on it.
- Repeat. If any foot touches the floor outside the paper, that pair is out. Lifting your partner or standing on one leg is allowed.
Rules: how do you win?
- A foot outside the paper means the pair is out.
- A torn newspaper means the pair is out.
- Moving after the music stops means the pair is out.
- The last pair on the paper wins.
Fun twists to make it crazier
- Change the song style every round, from Bollywood to garba.
- Play it in sarees for an extra challenge.
- Give the winning pair a 'dance queen' crown for the next kitty.
Tips for the host
- Use two layers of newspaper so it does not tear too early.
- Clear the space and keep sharp furniture corners away.
